Significantly weakened by the autumn wave of illness, the projects of subcluster III met again at the University House in Düsseldorf from October 23 to 24, 2025, to reflect on the status of their work, define joint projects for the final year of funding, and prepare for the 2026 conference. The ANKER project joined online on the second day.
The projects began by presenting their key progress. The focus was on the next steps in each project, methodological challenges, and initial findings from ongoing analyses and test phases of the developed demonstrators. The exchange highlighted how differently the projects work – and how common themes such as AI-supported participation or inclusion converge. In the course of the workshop, possible activities were identified that could raise the profile of the cluster in the final year of funding and link its content.
The second day was devoted to planning the focus of the specialist conference in June 2026. Possible formats, target groups, and thematic priorities were discussed. The conference will serve as the conclusion of the current funding phase and is intended to present project results and showcase the breadth of the “integrated research” research mode.
